In modern day society only some of us have come to terms that there is no higher "power." The rest of us live in fear of a god that does not exist, they pray every night, in fear that they will go to hell. As we live in fear, we cannot sufficiently advance. Either religion goes, or we go. In the world that we have created, there is no room for overwhelming superstition. I argue that we don't know if there is a god, we don't know if we were created by a higher power, how can we know?

So you see, even some of our founding fathers, savours and poetys were atheist.
I disagree with you Aidan. I think if any one is a christian then they should know that ofcourse god exist and if they are a christian then they need to look in the bible and see all the proof of a higher power.
ReplyDeleteThere is no proof of high power, the bible was written within a few generations of eye witnesses to Jesus, and the new testament was poorly derived from the old testament and more then half was probably made up from the men who made it. There is no proof that god exists, if i asked you for proof you would say the bible or the earth. well prove that god made the earth, prove that the people who wrote the bible were right. There is no logical proof of a higher power, religion simply goes on faith, and the faith that they do have does nothing. It holds us back and will keep holding us back. Man created religion because he did not have enough knowledge of the universe, but we are past that, we don't need the comfort of a god, and we don't need faith in priests that rape little kids...
